Welcome to beautiful South Africa! Upon arrival at Johannesburg Airport, you will be collected in a luxury (South African Standard) vehicle and transferred to Sun City. Pass the Pretoria en-route to the Hartebeesport Dam, a recreational area at the foothills of the Magaliesberg Mountains for visitors from the two big cities. You are now in North West Province, one of the lesser known provinces in our country. Much of the province consists of flat areas of scattered trees and grassland making sheep, cattle and game ranches together with corn growing areas an important part of the economy. However, it is mining that generates more than half of the provinces income. Chief minerals are gold, uranium, platinum and diamonds. The area around Hartbeespoort, Rustenberg and Magaliesberg is known as the Cradle of Humankind with relicts from the Stone Age as well as middle to late Iron Age. An attraction is the large number of arts, crafts and curio outlets en-route to Rustenberg. One of the best known attractions is the extravagant Sun City, a hotel and entertainment complex built “in the middle of nowhere”. This icon of fun and entertainment includes four hotel complexes from a family hotel to the luxury five star palace. Sun City offers a myriad of different entertainment and relaxation opportunities. Water and water sports enthusiasts visit Waterworld or the Valley of Waves with a beach, pools and water falls. The casino and various shows provide entertainment whilst golfers choose between two excellent golf courses. The close-by Pilanesberg National Park invites guests to experience the bush and the big five on a game drive with an open 4x4 vehicle.
